Through A Mother's Eyes Photography

Hi! Thank you for stopping by. My name is Rita Brock and I am the owner and photographer for Through A Mother's Eyes Photography.

Choosing someone to photograph your newborn/baby/child is a deeply personal decision—and it should be. Your baby/child's safety, comfort, and first memories matter. With over 30 years of experience as a labor and delivery nurse, I bring a level of care, patience, and expertise that goes far beyond photography. I understand newborns—their needs, their cues, and how to keep them safe and content throughout every moment of their session. My additional 17 years in mental health have also shaped a calm, compassionate approach, ensuring not just baby, but parents feel relaxed and supported. My in-home studio is fully equipped with everything we’ll need—from carefully selected props to a warm, soothing environment designed specifically for newborns. Every session is completely baby-led, meaning I follow your baby’s cues, never rushing or forcing poses. Their comfort always comes first. Photography has been my passion and profession for 17 years, with the past 7 years dedicated specifically to newborns and children. I’ve invested extensively in education, completing numerous specialized newborn photography courses, attending in-person workshops with world-renowned photographers, and participating in private 1:1 mentoring with respected leaders in the industry. For the past two years, I’ve been honored to receive awards as a top newborn photographer in my area—a reflection of both my dedication and the trust families place in me. When you choose me, you're not just hiring a photographer—you’re choosing experience, safety, patience, and a genuine love for capturing these once-in-a-lifetime moments.
